Dr. Ferrell joined Animal Care Center in 2014. She is a West Virginia native, born and raised in McDowell County. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Concord University in 2009 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
She is a member of the national and state veterinary medical associations and has been the Region 5 Representative with the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association since 2018.

Dr. Montgomery grew up in Preston Co, WV. He received his Bachelor of Science from WVU and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduating, Dr. Montgomery began practicing at Animal Care Center.
He is married to his lovely wife Amy and has two wonderful children, Alex and Edward. He is a member of Organized Veterinary Medicine on the national and state levels.
He is currently the President of the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and a founding member of the West Virginia Veterinary Foundation. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 1 of Princeton and a committee member of Pack 10 of Princeton. He is actively involved with the Lions Club and is the President of the Pearisburg Lions Club.
Kristen has been part of the Animal Care Center family since 2016, bringing warmth, organization, and a deep love for animals to her role as Practice Manager.
Originally from South Florida, she has always been fascinated by animal behavior and enjoys helping create an environment where pets, clients, and the veterinary team all thrive.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University, graduating summa cum laude. Outside of work, she loves browsing antique shops, spending sunny days with her family and pets—Bo Duke, Scotch, River, and Little One—and cooking or crafting something new. She’s known for her humor and for brightening everyone’s day.

We do our best to offer same-day availability for urgent cases whenever possible. Please call for availability.
We provide limited services for birds, reptiles, and small mammals like rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. Please call ahead to confirm availability. Our Princeton location also offers health certificates and Coggins testing for horses.
