Dr. Ferrell joined Animal Care Center in 2014. She is a West Virginia native, born and raised in McDowell County. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Concord University in 2009 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
She is a member of the national and state veterinary medical associations and has been the Region 5 Representative with the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association since 2018.
Outside of work, Dr. Ferrell enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and two amazing children. She also has many pets of her own to keep her company and keep her busy.
Dr. Montgomery grew up in Preston Co, WV. He received his Bachelor of Science from WVU and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After graduating, Dr. Montgomery began practicing at Animal Care Center.
He is married to his lovely wife Amy and has two wonderful children, Alex and Edward. He is a member of Organized Veterinary Medicine on the national and state levels.
He is currently the President of the West Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and a founding member of the West Virginia Veterinary Foundation. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster with Troop 1 of Princeton and a committee member of Pack 10 of Princeton. He is actively involved with the Lions Club and is the President of the Pearisburg Lions Club.
Kristen has been part of the Animal Care Center family since 2016, bringing warmth, organization, and a deep love for animals to her role as Practice Manager.
Originally from South Florida, she has always been fascinated by animal behavior and enjoys helping create an environment where pets, clients, and the veterinary team all thrive.
Kristen holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Florida Atlantic University, graduating summa cum laude. Outside of work, she loves browsing antique shops, spending sunny days with her family and pets—Bo Duke, Scotch, River, and Little One—and cooking or crafting something new. She’s known for her humor and for brightening everyone’s day.
Renee is a Registered Veterinary Technician at Animal Care Center, where she has been a valued team member for over three years. She began her career at ACC as a receptionist while completing her veterinary technology degree, later advancing into her current role as an RVT.
Renee loves the variety and fast pace of her work, finding joy in the fact that no two days are ever the same. She especially enjoys connecting with clients, supporting them through challenging moments, and helping care for their beloved pets.
Passionate about lifelong learning, Renee appreciates that veterinary medicine is constantly evolving with new studies and treatments that improve pets’ quality of life. At home, she shares her life with Carmine, her sweet and slightly goofy Greyhound.
Jessica Dixon has been part of the Animal Care Center team for 20 years, where she serves as a veterinary assistant and inventory manager.
Her favorite part of the job is watching patients grow over the years, forming lasting connections with clients, and sharing plenty of laughter with her coworkers.
At home, Jessica’s love for animals continues—she shares her life with four dogs, two cats, two ferrets, and a flock of chickens, most of whom came from the Animal Care Center. When she’s not at work, Jessica enjoys tending to her flower garden, restoring old cars, and adding creative touches to her custom-built chicken “penthouse.”
Hannah Smith has been a valued member of the Animal Care Center team for the past three years, working as both a Customer Service Representative and kennel attendant.
Known for her compassion and dedication, she provides exceptional care to animals while supporting their owners with kindness and understanding. Hannah is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree with plans to attend veterinary school, where she hopes to deepen her knowledge and continue helping animals in need.
At home, she shares her life with an impressive 13 pets—12 of them cats! Outside of work, Hannah enjoys reading and staying active through regular workouts.
Arianna is a Customer Service Representative at Animal Care Center in Princeton, where she enjoys greeting pets of all ages and personalities as they come through the doors.
As a devoted pet parent to several beloved fur babies, she understands how deeply animals are cherished members of the family and takes pride in helping them stay happy and healthy.
Arianna loves being part of a compassionate team dedicated to improving pets’ well-being and finds great joy in seeing patients leave with wagging tails or content purrs. She’s always happy to ensure every pet receives the care and attention they deserve.
Marquise Francis has been a licensed veterinary technician for over 35 years. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at Purdue University in West Lafayette.
Marquise’s experience ranges from private practice, the University of Missouri, and co-founding a rescue organization. She has four cats and two dogs, all of which are rescues. She fully embraces the motto “adopt don’t shop”.
When not working at the Animal Care Center, Marquise enjoys gardening, sewing, hiking, and spending time with her husband, Bill, and son, Griffin.
Stephanie has been with Animal Care Center for four years and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She loves spending time with her pets and playing video games.
Stephanie is a huge fan of the German Shepherd breed and absolutely adores her own German Shepherd, Ambrose. She also has four cats (currently) named Winslowe, Valkyrie, Daemon, and Fredwynn.
Stephanie enjoys Taco Bell and Burger King. She is very passionate about helping and homing disabled pets and enjoys meeting different pets and getting to know the clients at Animal Care Center.
